OPEN CALL FOR RESIDENCY

OPU Collective invites art, cultural and urbanists to participate in the creation of a digital interactive map of the Agioi Omologites neighbourhood in Nicosia, Cyprus. Aligned with the core goals of Opu Collective to contribute to the revitalisation of the area and to improve urban life through citizen participation, advocacy and interdisciplinary collaboration, the goal is to create a map that will give voice to the people that already live there, and attract both locals and tourists to visit.

The residents will explore the neighbourhood through walks, meetings and research. These observations will lead to the creation of a digital map that documents everyday mobility, local stories and history. The goal is to highlight what makes the area distinctive and to establish a foundation for future community initiatives and partnerships. The digital map will need to be flexible, easily adaptable for future adjustments and create a sense of unity between the residents of Agioi Omologites.
