OPU
The Organization for Positive Urbanism (OPU) is a non-profit organisation based in Nicosia, Cyprus. OPU was founded in response to the climate crisis and the impact of the built environment on current environmental and social challenges.
OPU focuses on awareness campaigns on urban matters, which involves disseminating information, tactical urbanism interventions, workshops, and social events. As well as highlighting spatial opportunities and empowering the public with relevant skills, and providing a space where urban ideas can thrive and materialize.
Moreover, OPU has been involved as a consultant for a wide range of urban matters in the context of Nicosia, such as the cycling infrastructure, the enhancement of the connectivity of the city centre, and the redesign of the Venetian moat as a people-centric space.
