This October, Nicosia becomes a stage for cinema, cycling and change, as the Bicycle Film Festival (BFF) rolls into town under the umbrella of the Nicosia International Festival. It’s a day and evening dedicated to celebrating the bicycle as a force for sustainability, health, freedom, and storytelling.
Since its inception in New York, BFF has inspired cities around the world. Now, Cyprus joins the ride.

All Ages Shorts - 11:30
A light, uplifting set of short films for families and general audiences. Expect stories of girls-only bike park days, candy quests, and comic-book dreams, taking us from Canada to Hong Kong, Estonia, and the USA.
Cinematic Shorts - 16:30
An international mix of award-winning documentaries and animations exploring cycling seen through the lens of Mexico, the Navajo Nation, China, South Africa, and the Netherlands.
Cycling for change - 19:00
A more contemplative, awe-inspiring block exploring what two wheels can bring to people’s lives: adventure, healing, and transformation.
Featured stories from Rwanda, Kyrgyzstan, Uganda, and Cyprus, including Alexandros Agrotis’ epic 600 km journey around the island.
