After 20 years in London and Singapore, Elena returned to Cyprus and found refuge at OPU Collective, putting her years of transport planning and consulting experience to good use. Having previously worked on the Mayor’s Transport Strategy at Transport for London (TfL), headed strategy for TfL’s Bicycle Hire and consulted the Singapore government on public policy, she brings a keen enthusiasm for urban mobility and the policy levers that drive attitudinal and behavioural change. As a late cyclist herself, only hopping on a bike in her ‘20s, she is particularly passionate about bringing more women and underrepresented groups into active travel and the debates that shape it, making sure that urban policy is inclusive, fulfilling the desires and needs of all citizens.
